The local scale of the just ecological transition
How does a just ecological transition take shape at the municipal scale? Four cases: water, employment, rural areas and green spaces.
The aim of the project is to understand how to carry out a just ecological transition in the municipality. In particular, this pilot project addresses four case studies (clean water, employment, rural areas and green spaces) which, through a comparative analysis, make it possible to draw cross-cutting lessons about this transition. The participants, who include teachers and students from various secondary school years (ESO and Bachillerato), contribute to the design of interviews, carry out data collection, collaborate in the analysis and interpretation of the results, and take part in the 15th Conference of the European Society for Ecological Economics, held in June 2024 in Pontevedra, with the aim of disseminating the findings.
